Housing

Want to get the most out of your University of Houston experience? Then live on campus. It’s the best way to meet a diverse group of people, get involved in our wide array of campus activities, and, of course, get to class on time.

There are plenty of great options for nearby off-campus housing, too. UH’s neighborhood offers a wide range of affordable, comfortable apartments in easy walking distance of campus.

On campus, student housing ranges from traditional single or double dorm rooms to suite-style halls to fully furnished on-campus apartments. All facilities are equipped with up-to-date amenities including cable TV and Ethernet connectivity. Apartment options also have kitchens.

If you’re an incoming first-year student, you’ll likely participate in our Freshman Year Residential Experience (FYRE) Program. Especially designed to ease your transition to college, the program offers peer mentoring, greater access to faculty and staff, and unique “living learning” communities where students who share majors live together.

In addition to great housing options, UH also has a variety of meal plans to choose from. There's a plan to fit every budget and appetite! Want to know more? Contact us. If you've already perused all the options and you're ready, students accepted to the university can apply for housing now. We hope to see you in the residence halls!
